Amendment to the list of harmonised standards under the RED (Radio) Directive – Dec 2023

Normes harmonisées

Implementing Decision 2023/2669, dated 27 November 2023, concerning the harmonised standards of the RED Directive, was published recently.

This document amends Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/2191, dated 8 November 2022.

The standards that have been updated include:

  • EN 50360:2017 / AMD1:2023 - Product standard to demonstrate the compliance of wireless communication devices with the basic restrictions and exposure limit values relating to the exposure of persons to electromagnetic fields in the frequency range from 300 MHz to 6 GHz: devices used close to the ear
  • EN 50566: 2017 / AMD1: 2023 - Product standard to demonstrate the compliance of wireless communication devices with the basic restrictions and exposure limit values relating to human exposure to electromagnetic fields in the frequency range 300 MHz to 6 GHz: devices held in the hand or worn in close proximity to the human body
