Emitech Certification - NCB under the CB scheme
National Certification Body - NCB
Emitech Certification is recognized by the IECEE as an NCB / ONC under the CB scheme / OC scheme. The National Competent Body validates the choice of IECEE standards and test plans. The affiliated CBTL laboratories work under the responsibility of the NCB. It evaluates the report (CBTR) from its CBTL and issues a CB Certificate / OC Certificate at the end of its certification process.

National Certification Body under the CB scheme
Our recognition as a National Certification Body under the OC scheme (NCB in the English terminology of the CB Scheme) is made possible by the fact that Emitech is a certification body, as attested by our Cofrac accreditation no. 5-0549 (scope available at www.cofrac.fr) in accordance with EN ISO/IEC 17065.
In the context of export markets, using the OC scheme allows test results to be recognized in more than 50 countries around the world. In this procedure, laboratories (CBTLs) must be approved by the Certification Body to which they report: Emitech Certification is the ONC for the Emitech Group's laboratories, which have been audited and validated by it.
These are the Emitech Group laboratories in Angers, Lyon, Montigny, and Vendargues for the following categories of equipment:
- Information processing equipment (Category OFF)
- Audio-video equipment (TRON category)
- Control, measurement, and laboratory equipment (MEAS category)
- Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC category)
- Audio-video information technology equipment (ITAV category)
The OC scheme is a powerful tool available to manufacturers to launch their approval procedure where it applies. The OC scheme is a means of determining the conformity of the product with the applicable standards, taking into account national deviations for each country targeted by the procedure. It provides third-party assurance for the manufacturer in its efforts.

Your files are processed under the OC scheme in five steps, regardless of the country adhering to this method:
- Step 1 – Application
- Your application for an OC Test Certificate can be sent directly to the CBTL laboratory or the NCB.
- Emitech Certification validates the applicable IEC standard and any national deviations required for the countries concerned by your export. Emitech Certification forwards your application to one of our CBTLs.
- Step 2 – Testing and CBTR report
- The tests must be carried out by a CBTL affiliated with the OC, and the test report is then submitted to it for approval.
- Step 3 – CB Test Certificate
- The CB evaluates the CBTR report and then issues a CB Test Certificate to the applicant, accompanied by the test report.
- Step 4 – Registration of the CB Test Certificate
- As soon as the CNB issues the CB Test Certificate to the applicant, a copy is sent to the IECEE for registration.
- Step 5 – Use of the CB Test Certificate/test report by the applicant.

The conformity assessment body works free from any pressure or incentive that could influence its judgment. It regularly reports to its IPP (Impartiality Preservation Procedure) to demonstrate its independence and the absence of any conflict of interest in the cases it investigates.
