Seismic testing
Ensuring that industrial plant and equipment are in good working order
Why carry out seismic testing?
Seismic testing is crucial to ensure the safety and compliance of industrial installations and equipment subjected to earthquakes or seismic vibrations. These tests make it possible to :
- Validate the resistance of structures to seismic stresses, in particular your earthquake-resistant installations and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with international regulations and standards.
- Prevent operational and human risks by guaranteeing the safety of installations.
- Test the correct operation of equipment in real earthquake conditions.
The different types of seismic testing
Our test benches can simulate various seismic stresses:
- Bi-axial excitation (vertical and horizontal): Reproduction of the forces/movements/accelerations exerted during an earthquake.
- Synthesis of temporal signals and calculation of Shock Response Spectra (SRC).
- Test to maintain operability during and after the test, validating operation under pressure, temperature and power supply.
